Shree Veerabhadraswamy Free Residential English Medium School
The meaning of the ‘Math’ is the Shelter of students. To give the real meaning to the Math the late Shri Suvarnalinga Shivacharya Swamiji started a Primary School and a High school under Shree Veerabahdraswamy Education Society in 1965 and 1986 respectively.
The present pontiff Dr. Mahanthalinga Shivacharya Swamiji during the course of his extensive interaction with the panorama of life in society was quick to grasp that the people who have reached high level of progress and prosperity are those exposed to modern quality educational institutions in the global English medium for which children of poor parents particularly from rural areas do not have an access as there are hardly any arrangements in our society to provide such modern high quality education to the poor either on charity or at modest costs. Therefore, in the year 2009 Shri Swamiji set himself to the task to set right this lacuna in our society by starting a Shree Veerabhadraswamy Free Residential English Medium School for rural poor children with highly qualified teachers equipped with facilities for computer training, Smart class, laboratory, library, free boarding and residential hostel accommodation facilities comparable with the best of the institutions around providing schooling in English medium for about the five hundred poor children from Standard Sixth up to the SSLC level in a big 5 storied school building with his strong conviction that what is right must be done at whatever cost and risk.
Admission to the Free Residential English Medium School from class sixth eventually carrying up to the SSLC level is open to meritorious children of poor parents from rural areas irrespective of cast to which they belong on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the School during April/May at the commencement of the academic year. The math provides the students admitted food, hostel accommodation with beddings, school uniforms, text books and other writing materials, general medical facilities and expert teaching facilities free of cost to all the resident inmate children. All the students are required to maintain strict school discipline, physical fitness, high ethical and moral standards and to develop qualities of self-help and service-mindedness.
